Melissa DaSilva has been named interim CEO of TTC Tour Brands effective immediately, succeeding Gavin Tollman, who will exit the business at the end of the year.

DaSilva was most recently president of TTC Tours, the tours division of The Travel Corporation. She will oversee six brands, including Trafalgar, Insight Vacations and Contiki. Tollman will support DaSilva during the leadership transition.

Tollman said DaSilva's "deep understanding of TTC Tour Brands' diverse portfolio and her strategic vision make her the ideal choice to steer the company through this pivotal time."

Tollman will exit the business when The Travel Corporation's sale to private equity firm Apollo Funds is finalized. The Travel Corporation announced the sale of the family-owned business in July.

A member of the family that launched The Travel Corporation in 1920 in South Africa, Tollman joined Trafalgar Tours in 1997. He's since held a variety of positions with Trafalgar, where he ascended to CEO. He currently leads TTC Tour Brands, launched in 2022 to create a single sales and marketing division for the company's U.S. and Canadian brands: Trafalgar, Insight, Luxury Gold, Costsaver, Contiki, Brendan Vacations and Adventure World Travel.

DaSilva, who will support the search process for her successor as president of North America, has been with The Travel Corporation since joining young-adult tour specialist Contiki as president in 2013. Prior to that, she was with youth travel company STA Travel for 17 years.
